Rex – Courtesy Posting – Simi Valley, CA

Rex is an adorable 4-year-old Lab/English Pointer mix looking for an active family to take him on walks, hikes, and/or runs. He loves to play with toys and chew on bones. He’s learning fetch and wants a human or two to help him perfect his skills. Rex loves people and is a sweet companion. He’s big and goofy and doesn’t understand his size, so children 10 and up are recommended.

The details: 50 pounds, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, house-trained, strong prey drive so no cats, small dogs or pocket pets. Rex is being placed as an only dog because his interactions with other dogs are inconsistent. He is able to go on hikes with other medium to large dogs as long as they don’t get in his face and he has personal space.

You do not need to fill out our adoption questionnaire since Rex is not in our foster program and you will be working directly with Animal Rescue Volunteers (ARV). For more information or to set up a time to meet Rex, please email ARV at staff@arvsimi.org and one of their dedicated volunteers will reply to you. ARV will place Rex with adopters in the following states: California, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Idaho, Washington, Colorado or Nevada. His adoption fee is $200.

Location: Simi Valley (Southern California), CA
