Ani – Referral Posting – Visalia, CA

Ani (ah-née) means “beautiful” in the Hawaiin language, and she is a BEAUTIFUL girl!  Ani is estimated to be 5 years old, she was found by her owners around 1 year old and they tried to find her people but alas no luck! She happily became a member of their family, fitting in perfectly.    Ani is a fun loving, gentle around babies/kids, super sweet, and very smart!  She is eager please, which makes her very trainable.  She loves going for walks, playing soccer in the yard, and taking trips to the lake.  Ani is a goofball at heart, making her people laugh every day. Ani would prefer to be in a home with another dog as she likes to have friends, and she would be OK with dog savvy cats.
Unfortunately, Ani was recently diagnosed with Addison’s Disease.  This is a very manageable disease which has a normal life expectancy when treated. Her family is unfortunately unable to keep up with the cost of monthly vet bills associated with Addison’s (approximately $150/mo and annual exams) due to family changes.  There is a possibility Ani’s disease could be managed on a low dosage protocol for less a month but the vet has not been able to explore that option yet.
Ani is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, but not on heartworm preventative. Ani weighs 70lbs.
