Briar is a unicorn! We didn’t think such a GSP existed and he is a very rare find indeed. Briar is a young, healthy 4-year-old boy which means he is crazy on the high-energy scale, right? Not this amazing creature. Briar is as mellow as a GSP twice his age. He is calm and gentle. His favorite activity is “just sitting” but he also loves a good game of fetch. Another rarity there: He actually brings the ball right back and immediately drops it. How often have you seen that? Lest you think this ball activity is an obsession, highly uncommon again! Briar enjoys his fun but is not fixated on the ball. Briar’s house manners are impeccable, he is very comfortable in his crate, but he is also trusted to roam free in the house when the humans are away.
A few things particular to Briar: he is a bit of a foodie. Forget about dry kibble, as he won’t touch the stuff. And just like a GSP twice his age, Briar prefers a home that is generally calm. This means no young kids running around and no cats to tempt him. Briar is looking for a home as the only resident dog – he will be most pleased if that’s you. He can pass other dogs on walks and hikes, but dog parks are not for him. Briar will also require continued training with a professional trainer as a condition of adoption.
Have you been looking for the rare youngster that is happy to embrace a relatively sane existence? Then Briar has been looking for you. Come hang out with him!
