Ringo

Foster Home Needed for Ringo in Northern California — Playful, Goofy, and Ready to Keep Growing

Ringo is a fun, goofy dog who has made huge strides since arriving in foster care. He’s opening up more every day, showing his silly side, and discovering that people, walks, and attention can all be pretty great. Now he’s ready for a foster home that can continue helping him build confidence, manners, and daily structure.

What Makes Ringo Awesome
Ringo is playful, expressive, and full of personality. Once he’s comfortable, he leans into the fun—zooming around the yard, offering kisses, and happily letting you leash him up for a walk. His foster notes a major positive shift in how he interacts with people, and he’s quickly becoming a sweet, engaging companion.

Energy & Exercise Needs
Right now, Ringo gets 1–2 hours of yard time each day, but he would definitely benefit from more structured exercise and enrichment. Walks are becoming a new favorite of his, and he’s gaining confidence each time he goes out. He’s not bad on leash and with continued practice, he’ll polish those skills. He loves a good game of fetch.

Training & Behavior
Ringo is an eager learner. Like many dogs who are just discovering comfort and trust, he still has some puppy-like habits. When he’s excited or playing, he may jump on people, so a foster who can give consistent feedback and structure will help him improve quickly. He settles calmly when left alone —after a few minutes, he’s relaxed and content. He may bark occasionally in his kennel.

Social Skills

  • With people: Warming up beautifully. Once he feels safe, he becomes affectionate, silly, and open to handling and leashing. Given his enthusiasm and occasional jumping, a home with kids 12+ is recommended.

  • With dogs: May bark sometimes, but not in an aggressive way. With careful introductions, he should continue to improve.

Who Would Be a Great Foster for Ringo?
Someone who:

  • Can provide daily exercise, structure, and predictability

  • Is comfortable guiding a playful, energetic dog through basic manners and understands dog body language

  • Enjoys helping a fearful dog build confidence and continue his positive transformation

  • Wants a companion with a big, goofy personality

  • Has a calm quiet home environment, a female human as the primary caregiver, and a fenced yard

Ringo has already come so far and is showing every sign of becoming a truly wonderful dog. With the right home, he’ll keep blossoming and be well on his way to finding his perfect match.
