Meet Ronnie, your new best friend! This handsome young pup is an absolute joy to be around and is ready to find his forever home. Housetrained and affectionate, Ronnie is the perfect mix of playful and well-mannered. He’s a quick learner and doesn’t jump up on you unless he’s really excited during a game of tug of war—where he’ll adorably put his front paws around your leg.

Essentially still a puppy, Ronnie is curious and occasionally gets into things he shouldn’t. He loves his dog toys but sometimes finds dirty laundry or a remote control more intriguing. With a bit of monitoring and redirection, he’ll quickly learn what’s off-limits. He’s making great progress with crate training and has been happily sleeping in an open crate. Gradually, he’ll adjust to longer periods with the door closed.

Ronnie is a bundle of energy and needs an active family to help him burn it off. He’s working on his leash manners and knows basic cues like sit, stay, and down. He’s even learning to catch a tennis ball! Squeaky toys and tennis balls are his favorites, and he loves to play, receive affection, and go on hunts. Ronnie also loves car rides and is allowed on furniture, making him a great companion for road trips and cozy nights in.

He’ll thrive in a home without cats, pet birds, or free-range chickens, as his high prey drive makes him a potential hunting buddy with the right training. Ronnie does well with children, having interacted nicely with a high schooler and two preteen girls. He’s also been friendly with other dogs, though he benefits from slow introductions to ensure a smooth interaction.

Ronnie’s personality is a delightful mix of fun, goofiness, liveliness, intelligence, and a touch of stubbornness typical of German Shorthaired Pointers. He’s a bit guarded initially but warms up quickly to new people. He’s growing more confident every day and has settled well into feeling safe and loved in his foster home.

In summary, Ronnie is a fun-loving, energetic pup who will thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and affection. With a little training and patience, he’ll become the perfect addition to your crew. If you’re looking for a lively, intelligent, and loving dog, Ronnie is the one for you!
