Say hello to Walker! This 5 year-old boy has so many great qualities. He is extremely gentle and has great manners in the house. He also already knows basic training cues, such as sit, stay, leave it, and is working on down. Such a good boy!
Walker is currently living with a resident cat and is doing well, so could go to a home with the right dog-friendly kitty. He does not live with another dog currently, but has successfully interacted with dogs in the past and potentially can be placed in a home with other dogs. He will do best in a home without chickens or small animals (aside from cats).
Walker’s forever home will be bringing home quite the gem, one that still needs polish in a few things. Walker will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training, especially to tune up his leash walking skills. Also, in his past life, Walker was a bit of an escape artist, but has made tremendous progress. Walker also needs help getting comfortable with being left home alone. Overall, he’ll do best in a home committed to his continued progress and training and where he can get the exercise and mental stimulation he needs.
Walker is eligible for a foster to adopt home to give him a chance to settle into your home with the support of the rescue. If your home sounds right for Walker, please apply!
