Mae is not your typical two-year old GSP. Tall and elegant, with feathery hair on her legs and tail, she’d rather relax and snuggle than engage in foolish Zoomies. She wouldn’t think of pulling on her leash, and she pays no mind to cats! Mae has been adopted by a dad who loves to run, with kids who will be visiting frequently. Thank you, Barbara and Keith, for fostering Mae.
Handsome young Norman came into rescue a bit of a wild child. He’d bounced around among homes, and seemed to have no idea how to direct his wonderful energy. Our fosters were determined to work with Norman to prepare him to be a good citizen in his future forever home. With lots of exercise, routine and direction, he turned a corner. In his last foster home, he learned to play gently with his two smaller GSP sisters, and chill on the deck once in a while. He became so happy that he would greet his foster parents every morning with […]
Starr turned up as a stray to a shelter at around nine years old. She had a few minor medical issues and needed some mammary tumors removed, but she’s pretty spry for a senior gal. She has a sweet disposition and gets along well with people and dogs (and even a cat in her foster home). It was love at first site when she met her new forever family—a couple with lots of rescue experience. Starr snuggled with her new parents without hesitation, and bonded right away with her senior GSP sister, Hobie. She’s off to live the good life […]
Archer came into rescue with some problems. He had a couple of painful teeth, a torn cruciate ligament, and a bad eye. None of that kept his sweet disposition from shining through. His foster homes described him in superlatives—a gem, an angel, a delight! They nursed him through the surgeries he needed and once he healed, he was made available for adoption. A family up north saw his posting and thought he’d be just the right addition to their family. He now has a canine big sister, a dad who mostly works from home, and a mom who will take […]
