We thought Gidget would be in and out of rescue in a flash, but she tested positive for heart worm. Wah wah! Fortunately she tolerated the months of treatment and bed rest like a real trooper. Her adoptive family waited until she was finished with treatment and now Gidget can romp and play like any other young GSP.
