Orion (now Packer) came into our program under-socialized and with physical pain from a broken leg bone that had never healed properly. It was challenging for him to adjust to a foster home that included two attentive humans and two exuberant GSP brothers. His foster mom and dad were super patient with Packer, working with a vet on his pain and with trainers on behavioral issues. They gave him consistent support, while giving him the space he needed to figure out how to trust others. Initially, he was scared of balls, having never seen one before, but now he runs around with one proudly, and has become fearless about jumping into the pool with his canine bro’s, who adore him. Thanks so much, Janelle and Matt, for fostering and adopting Packer.
