Ozzy

A young woman who lives in the mountains near Lake Tahoe–because she loves the outdoors, especially hiking and water sports–came to us looking for a new canine companion. Lucky for her (and us), we had a bunch of six-month old puppies to find homes for at the time. Kelsey agreed to foster Ozzy, and they quickly bonded. She realized he had severe separation anxiety. No problem: she works from home and can take him everywhere else she goes. When she learned Ozzy hated water, she got a float device so she could paddle around with the dog lounging on her lap. When he cut his foot hiking and needed stitches and rest? No Problem! She got a backpack and took to the trails carrying him on her back. Folks, I think we have a nominee for Most Patient and Adaptable Dog Parent of the Year! Thanks, Anna and Brad, for sorting out our incoming pups. And thank you, Kelsey, for fostering and adopting Ozzy (now Blue).

Ozzy with his new forever Mom.
