Looking for a loyal companion with energy, love, and personality to spare? Meet Brooklyn, a stunning and affectionate 4-year-old spayed female pup (born May 19, 2021) who is ready to find her perfect forever home!
Brooklyn weighs about 55 pounds and is microchipped, house-trained, and knows her basic cues. She thrives on activity and affection and is truly happiest when she’s engaged with her humans—whether that’s playing fetch, swimming (her absolute favorite), or snuggling up after a fun-filled day.
She’s great with children—including toddlers—and is patient, gentle, and always ready to play or offer a snuggle. Brooklyn also gets along well with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, though she especially enjoys the company of female dogs closer to her size. However, she does have a high prey drive and is not suited for a home with cats.
Brooklyn is friendly and sociable—she might bark when someone’s at the door, then quickly warms up and greet visitors with kisses. She can handle short periods alone in the house (about 2 hours) or yard, but she really thrives when she’s with her people. She’ll let you know when she’s ready for more playtime or snuggles by howling sweetly from the yard.
Due to a change in her current home—with elderly family members recently moving in—Brooklyn’s high energy has become a safety concern. She’s accidentally knocked them over a couple of times already, simply from being her happy, enthusiastic self. For everyone’s well-being, she needs a home better suited to her energy level and zest for life.
Ideal Home for Brooklyn:
Brooklyn would flourish in an active home where she can get plenty of daily exercise, mental stimulation, and love. She’s perfect for a family or individual who enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, or simply playing a lot of fetch. A yard to run around in and a family who can match her energy (and cuddle needs!) would be ideal. Continued training would also help her channel her excitement into even better manners.
