Sandy Claws (aka Missy) came to the rescue after a rough start as a stray—battling a respiratory infection and recovering from multiple injuries—yet already showing a tough, resilient spirit. With loving foster care from Jeannie and Al, and guidance from her foster sister Poppy (a NorCal GSP Rescue alum), she settled in, regained her health, and began to show her true firecracker personality. As medical questions around a potential Von Willebrand’s risk were carefully worked through, her life took a joyful turn when Jeannie and Al realized she had already become a part of the family and decided to officially adopt her. Now safely home, Missy is thriving in the comfort and care she deserves. A heartfelt thank you to her foster family for adopting her.
