Two-year-old Anaya slipped away from home and ended up in a full shelter in northern California. The shelter called us because they were over-full and would have to start euthanizing dogs at the top of the list if they could not make more room. Our volunteers stepped up to spring this young dog the next day, saving the life of another unclaimed dog. Anaya’s foster mom discovered a very gentle soul and a cuddle bug, clever and eager to please. Once Anaya bonded with the other dogs at home, her adoption was assured.
