Billy

Meet Billy!

Billy is a sweet and lovable 5-year-old, 50-pound German Shorthaired Pointer looking for his forever home. In an unusual situation, he was surrendered by a terminally ill client, and despite facing challenges—including the amputation of his front leg—Billy has made a full recovery and is thriving as a happy, active tripod.

Billy is house-trained, knows basic cues (come, sit, stay, etc.), and is neutered, vaccinated, and up to date on all medical care (including heartworm prevention). While he navigates stairs just fine, he’s not a big fan of hardwood floors.

Billy does best with low-energy dogs and isn’t particularly interested in canine playmates—he’s more of a couch potato and cuddle bug.

Billy would thrive with a work-from-home owner who wants a loyal companion by their side. He’s happiest curled up next to you, content just sharing the space.

One important thing to know: Billy is an escape artist. His injury resulted from jumping out of an outdoor kennel, and he can clear most enclosures—so a secure environment is a must.

If you understand the GSP breed and are looking for an affectionate, easygoing dog who will be your best buddy, Billy could be the perfect fit.
