Gio is a seven-month-old sweetheart with a heart full of love and energy! This affectionate, social pup thrives on companionship and is happiest when he’s with his humans or playing with other dogs. Whether you’re an active household looking for a running or hiking partner, or a family that loves engaging playtime indoors, Gio will fit right in.

Why Gio is Amazing

Gio has a wonderful temperament—he’s friendly, social, and gets along with virtually all people and dogs. He absolutely adores his human family and will be your shadow throughout the day. He’s great at the dog park, where he loves playing chase and wrestling with his canine pals, especially medium to large-sized dogs. With people, he’s affectionate and gentle, making him a fantastic family companion.

Things to Know About Gio

• Velcro Dog: Gio would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time or with another dog for companionship.
• Housetrained (Mostly!): Gio understands that he should go outside to do his business and is mostly housetrained.
• Crate Training: Gio sleeps through the night in his crate, after a little nap near his humans.
• Leash Manners: He walks well on a leash, though he might get excited if he sees birds or squirrels that need chasing!

Energy & Exercise Needs

Gio is an active pup who loves running, hiking, and playing. He currently gets 6-9 miles of activity per day, whether that’s running with his foster family, playing at the dog park, or going for long walks. While he’d thrive in an active household, he’d also be happy with a mix of indoor play, enrichment, and moderate outdoor exercise.

Gio is a smart boy and eager to please! He already knows:

He’s very ball-motivated and can catch a ball midair! He also loves treat puzzles and could easily learn more tricks with the right training.
