Junior is a handsome, affectionate GSP mix looking for a new forever home to share his loyal heart with. True to his name, he’s full of youthful energy and fun—always ready for playtime or a good cuddle session. Junior’s three best qualities say it all: loyal, loving, and playful. He’s been a wonderful family dog and has grown up alongside a young child, showing endless patience and gentleness.
Junior is house-trained and crate-trained, and he knows his basic cues. He’s friendly with other dogs, both large and small, and enjoys social time with canine buddies. Cats, on the other hand, might be a little too tempting—he’s likely to want to chase them—so a cat-free home is best.
When it comes to people, Junior is friendly and enthusiastic. He sometimes forgets his manners and will jump up to say hello, but he responds quickly when reminded to stay “down.” He travels well in the car (though he might leave a few nose prints on your windows!) and settles happily in his crate when it’s time to rest.
Like many loyal dogs, Junior can get anxious when he’s away from his person. If left alone too long, he may whimper, chew, or scratch, especially if he knows you’re nearby but out of reach. He’s used to spending the day indoors while his person is at work and does fine with a predictable routine.
Junior is in good health, current on rabies vaccination, and on heartworm preventative. His adopter will receive his vet records.
