Max

Meet Max – Sweet, Gentle, and Looking for His Forever Home

Max is a beautiful, soulful boy with the saddest eyes you’ve ever seen—and a heart full of love just waiting to be shared. Around 2 years old and weighing in at about 60–65 lbs, this sweet pup is looking for a home where he can feel safe, loved, and understood.

A Gentle Soul with a Sensitive Side
Since day one,  Max’s expressive eyes have told a story. He’s gentle, affectionate, and loves being around people—including children. He’s quick to greet strangers with a wagging tail and a request for pets. Max is friendly with other dogs of all sizes, happy to sniff and play.. He’s incredibly sweet-natured and well-behaved.

That said, Max is a sensitive soul. Loud noises terrify him—especially lawnmowers and motorcycles. When he hears them, he shakes and looks for a place to hide. He’ll need a calm environment with patient adopters who can help him feel secure when the world gets loud.

House-Trained, Crate-Trained, and Knows His Basics
Max is house-trained and crate-trained, and he’s got basic obedience cues down. He’s also neutered, microchipped, on heartworm preventative, up to date on his rabies vaccine, and will come with vet records.

The Great Escape Artist
Now here’s the one thing to know about Max—he’s got an explorer’s heart and a bit of a daredevil streak. Max is a skilled fence-jumper. Because of this, Max will need a secure yard with a high fence or a family committed to walking and exercising him on leash.

Not a Fan of Cats
While Max is wonderful with people and dogs, he’s not compatible with cats. He sees them as something to chase, so a feline-free home is a must.

Why Max Needs a New Home
Max has been well-loved in his current home, but a family member has developed a severe allergy to dogs. He deserves a family that can give him the attention and security he needs to thrive.

Could You Be Max’s New Beginning?
Max is more than just a beautiful dog—he’s a loyal, loving companion waiting for someone to give him the safety and affection he craves. If you have a secure yard, a little patience, and a big heart, Max could be the perfect addition to your life.
