Hank 2013-2024
Our dear, sweet Hank passed away peacefully December 4 from complications of cancer. He joined us as a happy-go-lucky but polite senior, who in his forever home quickly discovered his true mischievous GSP self. Despite his arthritis, Hank was an incorrigible and unrepentant counter surfer. He was a skilled opportunist, whether stealing food or socks. He loved to fetch and then fight over his ball – the more I snarled at him the better.
Hank loved to take us on long walks, improvising a new route every day to explore new territory. He was a gentle friend to everyone he met: people of all ages (especially those with treats), all dogs (except rambunctious puppies), and most cats.
Rescuing seniors is sometimes challenging but always rewarding. We gave Hank a great last couple of years, filled with lots of play, treats, and TLC. He gave us so much more in return. We’ll miss him.
