Poppy

At just a few months old, sweet Poppy injured her left hind leg trying to jump out of a kennel. Her owners decided not to keep her when they learned she might need surgery or amputation. A family friend stepped in to help and got Poppy into our program. A vet suggested trying a less invasive approach–crating the pup for months (except for potty breaks) to see if her injury might heal. Unfortunately, it did not, so she had surgery to fuse bones in her knee joint. Poppy was good-natured and cooperative through her ordeal, wanting to cuddle during her brief breaks from crating. No wonder she stole the heart of her foster dad. Thank you, Manasi & Shreena, Michelle & John, and Anne & Brad, for fostering Poppy. And thank you, Tom, for fostering and adopting her.
