Robby (Ronan) – passed away February 6, 2025

It is with the heaviest heart that we share that our sweet Robby crossed the rainbow bridge on February 6th.

We rescued Robby on September 22, 2013. It was estimated he was around 2 years old, making him 13 or 14 when he passed.

Robby truly changed our lives. He lit up the face of anyone he came in contact with, with his sweet demeanor and adorable face. He was our ring bearer at our wedding. He was our first child, later becoming a proud big brother to our daughter Ryan. We took Robby EVERYWHERE with us – to the beach, on road trips, even on airplane rides. We took him to our workplaces, Ryan’s preschool, restaurants and coffee shops. Wherever dogs were allowed, Robby came.

Robby loved chasing birds along the water’s edge. He ran countless miles on the road and trails, mountain biking with dad and running alongside mum. He chased squirrels in the backyard and hunted lizards in the warm heat of Marin. He was Ryan’s go-to tea party guest and was always included in whatever family activities we planned.

Robby also loved to sunbathe. He would find the perfect spot on the floor and stretch his body so that every piece of fur would warm. He was a true healer, too – always knowing when someone was hurting and laying his soft little head on their lap to comfort them.

Robby has left a huge void in our lives and we will miss our sweet boy forever. We are so grateful for the opportunity to rescue him – it turns out we needed him as much as he needed us.

In gratitude, Alyssa, Chris and Ryan
