Two-year old Samantha came into rescue as a stray, with very little training and few social skills. Worse yet, she tested positive for heartworm. That meant months of arduous treatment and mandated rest—not the best start in life for a young, spirited GSP. She endured this with the loving help of her first two foster families (thanks Doug & Janelle, and Sally), but then Samantha was determined to find exactly the right place to begin the rest of her life. She tried out a few new situations before she decided that her last foster mom was Just Right!
Finally, she is able to relax and enjoy the good things in life, including daily dog walks, a real pool to swim in, and play dates with canine companions. Thank you Stephanie for offering Samantha a permanent home where she can continue to thrive.
