After coming to us months ago with such severe injuries many thought he would not make it, Elvis has found his forever home! This wonderful GSP boy was adopted by a man with cerebral palsy who had been looking for a mellow, affectionate companion. Elvis couldn’t be more perfect! They’ll spend their days side by side from now on, even doing their physical therapy exercises together. And don’t worry, Elvis went to his new home with a year’s worth of his favorite tennis balls. Elvis takes to the water.

Elvis had a tough start when he came to us, as he had a horrible injuries from a car accident. He is all healed up and ready for his forever home. He walks great on leash, loves car rides, plays ball like a teenager..and now you can see he swims like a champ! He is an out and about kinda guy, and does just as well as home while his family is at work or school. Elvis keeps his eye on the ball

It’s a good sign that Elvis is feeling better when he goes after tennis balls! In this picture, Elvis’ foster brother and rescue alum Otto is chewing away at a tennis ball that Elvis is pretty sure belongs to him. Forget those other tennis balls around the house, Elvis has got to have that one!

Elvis update

So many of our supporters have really been rooting for Elvis, and it’s working! He’s starting to walk a little more comfortably and his trips to the vet have become less frequent. At least for the moment, he only has to go in for a bandage change and progress check every 3 days. He’s healing really well and starting to spend more time being a normal dog by hanging out in the sun with his GSP friends. Before you know it, he’s going to be back on his feet!
