Widgett

A dog called ‘Hiccup’ was a stray taken to the full Fresno shelter. Although barely one year old, he was put on a list of dogs to be euthanized to make more room. We got him out of there and into a foster home that found him to be an amusing, almost-perfect pup. He didn’t pull on-leash at all. He’d come when called. He’d take treats gently and not gobble his food. He liked his crate–and even baths! He’d sing to the cows when he saw them in the morning and evening. One of our active volunteers snapped up this charming, well-behaved boy (renamed Widgett). Thanks, Janelle and Matt, for rescuing and fostering this character. And thank you, Brandon and Richard, for adopting Widgett and providing him with a canine sister, a 13-year-old Pitbull named Lily, whom he adores.

Widgett with his new forever family.
