At only 8 months old, Godzilla was brought to an emergency vet clinic convulsing from an ingestion of methamphetamine. The vet hospital gave the owners the choice of a police report being filed for animal abuse or surrendering the dog. Luckily for Zillie, he was surrendered by the owners. Poor Zillie didn’t know which way was up. He cowered under a chair, scared of everyone and everything happening to him. When contacted by the hospital, NorCal GSP Rescue arranged for transport and a foster home as soon as Zillie was stable enough to be released. Our experienced team slowly reminded him that the world can be a safe place, people can be kind, and treats can be a good thing. His foster home quickly fell in love with him and, with open arms and paws, brought him into their family. Zillie is now in his forever home with a dad who loves the breed–and a big GSP sister, our alum Chloe (on right below). Thank you Mark for fostering and adopting Zillie (now Zeek), and Anne & Brad for helping care for this pup.
