Annalise is adopted! Young Annalise came into our care with kennel cough, pneumonia, and a carpal deformity in her left leg – an old injury that was never fixed, limiting her range of motion and impeding her ability to walk or run. Her foster family thought she was not only beautiful, but also fun, easy going, and very loving, despite her problems. She gave them lots of kisses and showed love for her ball and a stuffed monkey. She appreciated sunbathing and being loved on. They saw her through a series of complicated surgeries and recoveries, and delighted in seeing […]
Zeek (now Cody) is adopted! One-year old Zeek ran away from home and ended up in a shelter. Perhaps he took off after a critter, as he has keen hunting instincts. He is fascinated by turkeys, obsessed with squirrels, and loves to hunt lizards and gophers. He is now in a forever home that will keep him busy, with a dad who is a marathon runner and a canine sibling to play with. Since the existing dog is named Zeke, Zeek will be called Cody. Thank you, Lorene and Charlotte and Al for fostering Zeek.
Cappie is adopted! Cappie was only one year old when he was surrendered to a shelter by his owner, perhaps because he had been hit by a car at some point. He had suffered trauma to his right hip and was in pain, with muscle atrophy and lameness. When he came into our care he had kennel cough and he was underweight, but he was housetrained and showed good manners. Cappie impressed his foster family as a happy, active boy, very sweet, and relatively calm for his age. He got along well with their dog. We got him the surgery […]
Tobie is adopted! In addition to having movie star looks, young Tobie is whip smart and loves to learn new tricks. And he is very affectionate, giving away kisses all the time. Unfortunately, while in rescue we discovered he has separation anxiety and was not at all ok with being left on his own. Lucky for him, he found a wonderful forever home where he will get consistent care and training, and also have a furry best friend to help alleviate his anxiety. We’re sure he will blossom into a great dog and quite a love bug. Thanks to Dalia, […]
