At eight years old, Burt proved that new beginnings can happen at any stage of life. Burt’s prior life story is a mystery, but after entering rescue with a few medical concerns and needing time to settle, he was given the chance to decompress and rediscover comfort through the care of several dedicated foster homes. When Kellie and Eric welcomed him home, he transitioned beautifully into a life filled with stability, love, and companionship. With lots of patience, structure, and kindness, Burt’s affectionate personality continues to shine through while he explores his neighborhood, some new trails, and learns more every day. His favorite pastime is lying on the sofa next to his people, enjoying the comfort and love he always deserved.
