When sweet 10-year-old Etta came to NorCal GSP Rescue, she was heartworm positive and not feeling her best, but she was ready for a second chance. Etta found that chance with her foster mom, Becky, who gave her a quiet, safe place to rest, recover, and begin to trust again. With patience and plenty of love, Etta slowly began to perk up and show more of her sweet personality, especially when she had the company of another dog. As she became more comfortable, we began to see those little signs that Etta was feeling better and enjoying life again. We are so grateful to Becky for patiently walking alongside Etta through her recovery and to her adoptive parents, Julie and Shari, for opening their hearts and giving this special senior girl her forever home. Etta’s story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes the biggest transformations happen one small step at a time.
