Jasper is a sweet, athletic, and soulful 2-year-old dog. He has a wonderful way of looking you right in the eye, and he is very affectionate—he loves to come up to you for a hold or to try and climb into your lap. He is also quite adorable and expressive, often twisting his head and flapping his long ears while he watches you. He really is a 72-pound lap dog.
Jasper is very submissive and has lived harmoniously with two 72-pound female dogs. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, but he does have a high prey drive and will bark at trees and squirrels, though he is responsive to correction and has become much quieter. Jasper is strong and athletic. He is curious about water and has tested the first step of the pool. Jasper is a high-energy dog and will need plenty of exercise so you can experience his loving, cuddly side. If you have experience with a young GSP, then you know what Jasper is like.
