Clark was adopted from our rescue in 2008 at the age of 9. While most would think of him as a senior dog that just needed a place to retire for his golden years, Clark was eager to prove everyone wrong. For 8+ years, he lived a happy, well-loved life and showed up plenty of younger dogs with his boundless energy. Clark is proof that all dogs deserve a second chance, especially those with a little extra gray around their muzzle. Please consider donating in memory of Clark so that other GSPs can have the same chance he did. […]
Gunnar showed up at a shelter as a stray just before Christmas. It was evident from his ribs that he’d been on the road for some time. His foster Mom (thanks, Kiara!) found him eager to scavenge and counter-surf, but he soon learned that he would get regular meals and lots of treats. His four older GSP foster siblings helped teach him house manners and curb his puppy-like enthusiasm for pranks. He learned to chill out and snuggle with the pack. Gunnar found his forever home quickly, with a family that lives not too far away and knows GSPs. Gunnar’s […]
Boyd went missing from his home on Oct. 31, 2016 in the Redwood Valley/Ukiah, CA area. He is wearing a collar with his family’s phone number. If you find Boyd or see a dog that you think could be him, please call Sheri: 707-489-2367
Finnigan took his time looking for a perfect forever home. Why should he be in a rush, when he had fabulous foster parents (thanks Cari and Mark!) and a couple of canine foster siblings? He impressed his foster family with his calm demeanor, mastery of basic commands, excellent recall, and ability to get along with everyone (including kids, and even cats!). At last he has found a family that loves to do all the things Finny most enjoys—hiking, camping, car rides, and snuggling on the sofa for some armchair quarterbacking. Adopted December 2016. Thanks to a Petfinder Foundation grant, Finnigan […]
James is really coming into his own in his foster home. He’s loving having a sibling that respects his space and he even went to see Santa this year! (We think he has a crush on Layla).
Young Bunny is loving life these days, she’s hitting the snow with her foster family and showing them how to climb those hills! She’s full of energy and is fast learning how to be a perfect family dog.
Rally (in green) spent his holiday getting in shape! He took on his first 5 K this year and loved it!
Miss Layla doesn’t care that’s it been the coldest winter we’ve had in a few years, she’s enjoying the bright, chilly weather to play in the creek and do a little hunting.
