Sebastian

We don’t know how Sebastian ended up in a shelter. For a five-year old GSP, he is pretty mellow. He doesn’t even pull on his leash. He gets along with everyone, and likes to carry around his favorite stuffed bunny, even when out for a walk. No wonder his foster mom (thank you Whitney!) fell in love with this sweet guy and adopted him. Sebastian plans to go to work with his new mom and enjoy lots of walks with her every day.

Maxx (now River)

Maxx (now River) spent his first four years chained up in a back yard, before a neighbor decided to intervene and get this sweet dog into a rescue program. Maxx savored the love and attention he received in his foster home (thank you, Imee and Albert). He is going to his forever home with a mom who lives in a cottage with a fenced yard. She is an avid hiker, so Maxx will get a lot of activity, as well as her devoted attention. She has changed his name to River, explaining: “When I first read about Maxx being chained […]

Whitney

Whitney is adopted! Whitney is a very good girl, a princess, really. She is a flirty love-bug who enjoys cuddling and stalking birds, but also loves her crate. She’ll crawl right in when she’s had enough excitement for a while, or when a new experience looks a bit scary to her. She keeps her kennel neat and tidy–although she might hide a few stolen treasures under the blankets inside it (or bury them in the back yard). Whitney has been adopted by a family in San Francisco that formerly adopted our alum Sadie. Whitney will get lots of walks and […]

Everest

Everest is adopted! Of all the Mountain Litter puppies, Everest had the highest mountain to climb and he needed the most help from us. He kept us worrying and praying and doing everything we could for him, including round the clock intensive vet care for many days. We thought we might lose him, but he never gave up. One day he turned a corner, started wriggling and vocalizing, as if to say “I’m back!” Soon he rediscovered the appetite he had lost. He grew stronger and bolder each day, coming out of his shell and melting hearts with his big, […]

Kuna

Kuna is adopted! Nonstop Kuna is rambunctious, fearless, and very smart. She has a sharp nose for buried treasures, and she masters new skills quickly. She likes to cuddle with humans and to romp with other dogs, but more than anything, she likes having a job to do. Lucky Kuna is going to a GSP-savvy forever home with a dad who is semi-retired and a mom who is a fire fighter and might teach Kuna some search and rescue skills to practice. They have time and attention to devote to raising a young pup—and teaching her how to get along […]
